Rice Energy has partnered with Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society
to help keep a highly visible presence in Franklin County for the organization.
On February 15, 2012 a truck launch celebration was held at the Rice Energy office in Greenfield with Rice staff members and officials from the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society. Dakin has locations in Leverett and Springfield, but includes Greenfield and Franklin County in it's primary service area. Rice Energy decided to use the branding on its newest propane delivery truck, to help support a local non-profit organization, and staff chose the humane society for this, first of it's kind in the area co-branding effort. Rice General Manager Terry Veber noted, "We are always looking for great ways to give back to the community, and Dakin's need for increased visibility locally seemed the perfect match. We're looking for additional ways to use the high visiblity of our vehicles to help as well."
